| About Claws Mail |
Claws Mail (previously Sylpheed-Claws) is the extended version of Sylpheed, the fast e-mail client.
The appearance and interface are similar to some popular e-mail clients for Windows, such as Outlook Express, Becky!, and Datula. The interface is also designed to emulate the mailers on Emacsen, and almost all commands are accessible with the keyboard.
The messages are managed in MH format, and you'll be able to use it together with another mailer based on MH format (like Mew). You can also utilize fetchmail and/or procmail, and external programs on receiving (like inc or imget).
The following plugins are included: acpi notifier 0.8, att_remover 0.4, CacheSaver 0.7, etpan-privacy 0.13, FetchInfo 0.4.10, maildir 0.19, mailMBOX 1.10, perl 0.6, RSSyl 0.4pre, SynCE 0.4, and vCalendar 1.29.

The options to "Use secure file deletion if possible" and to "Select the HTML part of multipart/alternative messages" were added. Support was added for the Avant Window Navigator (Awn). GUI improvements were added. Support for a Gmail exported CSV address book was added to the address book importer script. Several translations were updated.
This release contains 17 plugins. The Mail Archiver plugin is new in this release. The PDF Viewer plugin has been dropped due to licensing issues.
